The Extempore Speech Workshop organized by Remian’s Language Club was an engaging and transformative experience, made even more impactful by the presence of our esteemed speaker, Nurul Samnan Rafeed. With his rich background as a former Vice President of RDS (2014–2015) and an accomplished debater affiliated with NSUDC and NSUCC, he brought both expertise and inspiration to the session.
The workshop focused on the art of extempore speaking — the ability to think quickly, organize thoughts instantly, and deliver ideas with clarity and confidence. Through interactive discussions and hands-on speaking exercises, participants were encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and express themselves on the spot. The session emphasized not only spontaneity but also structure, teaching participants how to build a logical flow even under time pressure.
Nurul Samnan Rafeed shared valuable insights from his own journey in debating and public speaking, offering practical techniques to overcome nervousness, improve articulation, and connect effectively with an audience. His approachable style and encouraging feedback created a supportive environment where participants felt motivated to challenge themselves and grow.
Despite initial hesitation among many attendees, the workshop quickly turned into a lively and energetic space filled with ideas, confidence, and enthusiasm. Participants actively engaged in activities, showcasing noticeable improvement in their ability to speak fluently and think critically within a short span of time.
This workshop stands as a reflection of Remian’s Language Club’s commitment to fostering confident communicators and future leaders. With such inspiring guidance and active participation, the Extempore Speech Workshop was not just a learning session, but a memorable experience that will continue to influence participants in their academic and personal journeys.
